Apple Events 2025: What New Products to Expect

Apple traditionally unveils new products at three or four annual events: the spring presentation in March or April, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, the September event to announce new iPhones and Apple Watch, and sometimes an additional fall presentation to launch new Macs and iPads. The company has already started to delight fans with new products in 2025, and there are a few more key events ahead. Apple March Event 2025

iPhone 16E (also known as iPhone SE): released earlier, price and specifications

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 SE on February 19, 2025 - earlier than planned. Pre-orders began on February 21, sales began on February 28.

Price: From $599 for 128 GB - more expensive than expected, but with new features. The 256 GB model costs $699, and the 512 GB model costs $899.

MacBook Air with M4 chip

Apple's Spring 2025 presentation was not a full-fledged live event but consisted of a series of announcements via press releases, and on March 5, the company introduced the MacBook Air with M4 chip, equipped with a 10-core processor and graphics, 12-megapixel Center Stage camera, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a battery with up to 18 hours of autonomous operation.

The model is available in 13.6 and 15.3-inch sizes with a Liquid Retina display, a basic configuration of 16GB of storage and 256GB of SSD, and a new Sky Blue color, starting at $999. Sales began on March 12, positioning the laptop as a powerful and affordable choice for students and professionals.

Smart Home Products

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in December 2024, mass production of Apple's HomePad was postponed from the first to the third quarter of 2025 (July-September) due to problems with Apple Intelligence and iOS 19, and in March 2025, controversial rumors emerged: some sources predicted a launch after WWDC, while others, such as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, hinted at a freeze on the project due to delays with Siri and homeOS. Apple does not officially comment on the status, but there is evidence that HomePad with a 6-inch screen, camera, battery, and speakers was announced on March 5, 2025, and sales began on March 12 for $199 in black and silver.

2025 Apple Event in Summer: WWDC

One of the most outstanding events in the events calendar is usually WWDC. This event is typically held in the first half of June. The main focus of the presentation is on new software for Apple devices. It is worth noting that we are talking not only about the standard set for Mac and iPhone, but also iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and other operating programs for Apple devices. It is worth mentioning that after WWDC, beta versions of future programs will be available for developers to test, and the release of the programs may take place later. Nevertheless, it is possible that Apple will present not only OS but also devices at WWDC 2025.

Mac Studio

It is planned to present a new Mac Studio product, namely devices based on M4 Max and M4 Ultra Mac Studio, at the summer conference. It is reported that the device may have new Thunderbolt 5 ports and will have the best technical characteristics in Apple's history.

AirTag2

Apple planned to release the new AirTag 2 at the end of 2024. However, the release of the device was delayed. The design of the new AirTag will be similar to the previous model, which was released in 2021. AirTag 2 will help to determine geolocation more accurately. According to Mark Gurman, the new smart tag is currently "undergoing production testing”.

Apple Event September 2025

The most anticipated event from Cupertino is, of course, the September event, namely the presentation of the new iPhone 17.

iPhone 17

Although the September 2025 Apple Event, where the new iPhone will be unveiled, is still a long way off, information has already appeared that the iPhone 17 is expected to be a revolutionary device. It has a traditional rectangular design, flat edges, and a new durable alloy body. The lineup is expected to include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a brand new compact version of the iPhone 17 slim (possibly Air), while the Plus model will no longer be available due to low sales. The smartphones will become thinner, including the iPhone 17 Air, which may be as thin as 5.1 mm, bringing it closer to the thinness of the iPad Pro. Displays will be around 6.6 inches, with an improved Dynamic Island, and the USB Type-C port will remain standard. Cameras will be updated, and Pro models will be even closer to the professional devices. The iPhone 17 slim will feature an elegant and compact design, offering the perfect combination of power and ergonomics. More details will be revealed closer to 2025, but it is already clear that Apple is preparing something truly unique.

New Apple Watch

Apple is expected to release Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 in 2025. Most likely, the new products will be traditionally demonstrated at the presentation in September.

Other devices and services

As part of the September presentation, new AirPods will also be demonstrated: New versions are often presented, improved in terms of sound quality, battery life, or with new features such as adaptive sound or lossless audio. In September 2025, Apple may announce new services or significant updates to the existing ones (Apple Music, Apple Fitness+, iCloud, etc.).

Apple Event October 2025

Apple's October presentation doesn't happen every year, as it was last year, for example. However, it is expected that the late 2025 presentation will most likely include a line of MacBooks PRO on the new M5 chip. Next year, Apple will probably continue to make annual updates to the MacBook Pro. A well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo said that components for cameras of new models with M5 chips would be shipped in 2025. At the same time, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said that a new MacBook Pro with M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips could be released next year. According to him, the development of these chips is almost complete.
